Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I book an appointment?

You can speak with your GP or psychiatrist who can make a referral to our team, or you can telephone/email us directly by contacting our Office Administrator (020 8953 4040/ info @ drnikkiteper.co.uk).

The practise offers a range of available appointment times and days (including week-ends and home visits) enabling us to accommodate your individual needs.

  • If I'm still unsure...

Making a decision to come for psychological sessions can seem daunting at first, For this reason, we are always happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have by telephone. We also suggest that a one-off, initial assessment is arranged to begin with. This puts no pressure on you to commit yourself, and gives you a chance to see how you feel about the prospect of therapy, as well as giving the psychologist an opportunity to discuss your expectations and see whether we can help you.

And of course, we maintain the strictest standards of confidentiality.

  • How can I pay for these sessions?

We are all approved providers with the leading health insurance companies and able to accept payment through private medical insurance. It is your responsibility to determine the exact benefits provided by your policy. Once authorised, we will deal directly with your insurance company. Alternatively, if you choose to fund sessions yourself you can do so either when you attend, or if you prefer we can invoice you shortly afterwards.

  • Finally

It is our aim not only to help clients understand and manage their difficulties better, but moreover to feel safe and secure within a trusting relationship. We know how challenging it can feel to come to a psychological session for the first time, and we would like to try and make it as comfortable as possible. Therefore, if you still have any questions, please do contact our secretarial administrator (020 8953 4040/info @ drnikkiteper.co.uk) who will be happy to discuss this with you further.
